How do you like your cookies – soft and gooey or crisp and crunchy? What if I told you there’s a perfectly crafted cookie that is both? It’s true and they are baked fresh daily here in San Diego.

Have you heard of Cravory cookies? Better yet, have you tasted them?? If you live in San Diego, you may have seen Cravory cookies at one of the local farmer’s markets. Or, maybe you’ve been to one of the locations known as “cookie stockists” that carry the signature flavors of Cravory cookies. I recently discovered a “cookie stockist” that is not on the official locations list – Pacific Provisions at the new Liberty Public Market.

So what makes Cravory cookies so great? As the tagline says – Cravory cookies are the “ultimate cookie experience.” These gourmet cookies combine sweet and a hint of savory in each bite, blending creative flavor combinations that delight your taste buds.

I don’t recall how I first heard about Cravory cookies, but the only dedicated storefront location (so far) and main cooking kitchen is in the Point Loma area of San Diego, less than two miles from my home. When I stopped by the other day to get a half dozen cookies, I learned that all of the cookies are currently baked right there at the kitchen in Point Loma. If you aren’t here in San Diego, have no fear because you can order Cravory cookies and have them delivered to your door!

The Cravory offers Signature and Monthly Flavors. Some of the Signature Flavors include Ultimate Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, Lemon Bar, Peanut Butter Overload, and Salted Caramel Cream. Many of the cookie flavors, especially Rosemary Balsamic and Pancakes & Bacon, even have a cult following due to their popularity.

In addition to the Signature Flavors, The Cravory features six unique cookie flavors each month, many of them matching the season. For the month of May 2016, some of the Monthly Flavors are Brittle Toffee, Chocolate & Wine, and Red Velvet Oreo. As if Monthly and Signature Flavors weren’t enough, when you’re able to visit the store front location in Point Loma you may be treated to the Daily Flavors. On my recent visit, some of the Daily Flavors included Citrus Shortbread, Chocolate Birthday Cake, and Mango con Chili.

If you’re looking for a unique corporate gift or dessert option for a wedding or other special event, you may want to consider serving Cravory cookies. Also on the website is the link for Cookie Subscriptions – yes, that’s right – with the monthly cookie flavors delivered direct to you. The online store has other cookie delivery options – including Mixed Batches where The Cravory has done the work for you by selecting the ideal combination of cookies to satisfy every cookie-lover. According to the website there are gluten-free Cravory chocolate chip cookies too. Also available online are Cravory Gift Certificates – now that would be one sweet gift!

My personal favorite Cravory cookie is the Lemon Bar and my second favorite is the Salted Caramel Cream. My husband’s go-to flavors are Birthday Cake and Ultimate Chocolate Chip. The shelf life of Cravory cookies is up to a week, especially if stored properly. However, the gentleman at Cravory Cookies on my recent visit said the cookies can keep up to a month when kept in the refrigerator. This is good to know if you’re having the cookies delivered across the U.S. – although there are no guarantees the cookies will last too long if left in the presence of hungry cookie lovers.

Cravory Cookies has taken the concept of cookies to the next level. Try one and you’ll taste why! Not sure which cookies to buy? A bonus of visiting the storefront location in San Diego is free bite-sized samples! You are encouraged to snap a picture of the sample cookies so you’ll remember what types of cookies you bring home. If you follow Cravory on social media, the Daily Flavors are typically posted on the Facebook page, and if you sign up for emails you’ll receive updates each month with the Monthly Flavors.
