Ahoy, me Hearties! A fun holiday is coming up – Argh ya ready, mateys? September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and here are some easy ways you can get into the swashbuckling spirit and make some fun memories.

Choose a pirate name for the day. Here’s a site to help you generate a pirate pseudonym for the day.
Set your Facebook language to “Pirate” and post your updates as a pirate all day. Here’s how: Click on “Settings” then “Language” then “Edit” and from the drop down menu select “English (Pirate)”.
Don your festive pirate garb. Eye patch and talking parrot are optional.

A simple internet browser or Pinterest search for “Talk Like a Pirate Day” will yield many ideas for sites/blogs with printables, activities and other festive tips.
